How client-side PDF processing protects your data
“Client-side” means the code that edits your PDF is downloaded to your machine once, and then does all of its work there — the same place your file already lives. When you drop a PDF onto Kickva, the browser reads it into temporary memory as an ArrayBuffer, renders the pages to a local canvas for preview, and applies your edits with pdf-lib. The finished document is handed back to you through a browser Object URL download. At no point is a network request made to send your content to Kickva or anyone else.
